Mrs. Akin’s fifth grade science classes are doing a unit on weather including powerful storms and severe weather. They have been learning about thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
Today her classes are using the factors learned about weather, and as “engineers” they are building houses to withstand hurricane (AKA-Mrs. Akin’s hairdryer) force winds.
